Danny Hall is a retired captain of the Delaware State Police, where he served for 33 years from 1990 to 2023. He is currently a criminal investigator for the Delaware Division of Gaming Enforcement. He has a bachelor’s degree in physical education from the University of Delaware and several certifications in field training, fitness, nutrition, advanced driving, and athlete leadership.

Danny Hall has been a volunteer for Special Olympics Delaware (SODE) for over 37 years, since he was a college student. He is a coach of four sports: long distance running, swimming, basketball, and cycling. He is also a mentor for two athletes and a part of the SODE executive council, serving as the chairman of fundraising. He joined the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) for Special Olympics as soon as he graduated from the police academy and has been a passionate supporter ever since. He is currently the Region II Coordinator of the LETR International Executive Council, representing Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington DC, and West Virginia. He credits the Special Olympics athletes for inspiring him to overcome a medical challenge he faced in 2022.
