David Keigan is a Sergeant at the Winter Haven Police Department in Florida and the Region III Coordinator for the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) for Special Olympics. He joined the LETR in 2014 after being inspired by a local athlete and his parents who shared their story of how Special Olympics changed their lives. He was selected to represent Florida as a Final Leg Torch Runner for the 2023 Special Olympics World Games in Berlin, Germany.

David is also a Bocce coach and a Powerlifting coach for Special Olympics. He has a degree in Criminal Justice and graduated from the Southern Police Institute 80th CODC. He has held supervisory positions in various units of the police department and has certifications in active shooter response, chemical/less lethal weapons, crowd management, and police mountain bike operations.
