David Solo is the President and CEO of Special Olympics Northern California, and the Vice Chair of the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) International Executive Council. He joined the LETR International Executive Council in 2020 to provide additional support for law enforcement and the local Northern California LETR Program. He is passionate about the relationship between Special Olympics and Law Enforcement. During his time on the LETR Executive Council, David has served as the Chair of the Finance Committee and the Strategic Planning Committee. He is proud of his committee’s work in creating the LETR Executive Council’s 2024-2027 Strategic Plan.
David Solo has 28 years of non-profit experience, including 22 years as a CEO. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Willamette University in 1993 with a B.A. Degree in History, and was a NAIA College Football Academic All-American, All-Conference, and Captain. He is a member of Legatus and the Knights of Columbus and has served as a Board Member for the Petaluma Health Center and a member of the Rotary Club of Petaluma.
