Jenny Fortner is a distinguished leader with a profound dedication to philanthropy and community service. As the Founder and CEO of Pay It 4Ward, LLC, a philanthropic consulting firm, Jenny has leveraged her extensive experience in finance and investment advisory to create impactful strategies for families, foundations, and corporations. Her professional journey includes a notable tenure at Goldman Sachs, where she served as the Director of Impact and Engagement for the Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund, and previously as an investment advisor. Jenny’s commitment to service is evident in her involvement with the Special Olympics for over 25 years, where she currently serves as an Executive Board Member and Finance Chair of Special Olympics International. Her passion for inclusivity and community engagement is further highlighted by her roles on various boards, including DePaul University and the Misericordia Foundation, as well as her advocacy for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.
Jenny’s educational background is equally impressive, with a BA in Psychology from The University of Chicago, where she was inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame for her achievements on the women’s varsity basketball team. She has received numerous accolades, including the Alumna of the Year Award from Mother McAuley High School and the Volunteer of the Year Award for Special Olympics Illinois. Jenny’s dedication extends beyond her professional endeavors as she actively participates in initiatives aimed at finding a cure for ALS, inspired by her personal experience as a caretaker during her mother’s battle with the disease.
