Jim DiGianvittorio is the Region I Coordinator of the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) International Executive Council and the Co-Director of the Massachusetts LETR Program. He is a retired police chief and the current Executive Director of the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council. He became involved in the LETR for Special Olympics because of his passion for the athletes and his desire to give back to the community he served.
Jim has a Bachelor of Science in Law Enforcement and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration. He has extensive professional experience and training in various fields, such as arson investigation, homicide investigation, executive leadership, racial profiling, labor relations, sexual harassment, exploited and missing children, anti-terrorism, critical incident management, and line of duty death. He has also participated in a 15-day intensive training in Israel with the Israeli Police and the Anti-Defamation League. He is a certified trainer by the International Chiefs of Police and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
