Robin McNeil is a dedicated public servant and volunteer with a distinguished career spanning over three decades in uniformed service. He has led various initiatives in unionized and non-unionized environments, including roles such as the Director General of Operational Readiness & Response, Contract & Indigenous Policing for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and the Deputy Chief of the Halifax Regional Police. Internationally, he served in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Ukraine as a Canadian Police Contingent Commander and Senior Police Advisor. Currently, McNeil holds a Chairman Appointed position on the LETR Executive Council and serves as the Chair of the Strategic Plan Oversight Committee. In 2023, he was a Torch Runner for the LETR Final Leg for the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin.

McNeil’s career is marked by his commitment to public service and community engagement. He served as the Special Olympics Nova Scotia Board Chair in 2018 and currently co-chairs LETR Region XI - Nova Scotia. A lifelong learner with exceptional communication skills, McNeil has led change during challenging times, demonstrating a collaborative approach and finding creative solutions to shared problems. Now, after working with volunteers and staff in the private, voluntary sector, McNeil is returning to uniformed service, continuing his mission to serve diverse communities both locally and globally.
