Chief Superintendent Robin McNeil has led a distinguished career in law enforcement spanning 3.5 decades. He is currently a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and is responsible for the National Center for Operational Readiness and Response. Prior to joining the RCMP, Robin served a 32-year career with the Halifax Regional Police, working in a variety of operational, administrative, and command roles which allowed him to develop and grow as an engaged and dedicated public servant. Internationally, Robin has served in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Ukraine as a Canadian Police Contingent Commander and Senior Police Advisor as part of several International Coalitions/Missions.
Robin has been involved in the LETR and Special Olympics movement for most of his career. He is currently sitting as an elected Law Enforcement member-at-large position on the LETR Executive Council, and he serves as the Chair of the Strategic Plan Oversight Committee. In 2023, he was a Team leader for the LETR Final Leg for the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin, and in 2019, he was a Torch Runner for the LETR Final Leg in Abu Dhabi.
Robin’s family has also been very supportive of his involvement and is actively involved in local events. He has two children, now young adults, and both police officers themselves, they are now beginning their journey as torch runners.
