Affiliates are non-profit organizations with a common membership, mission, or purpose with the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.

In 1983, the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) endorsed the Law Enforcement Torch Run and became the Founding Law Enforcement Organization for the movement. With the IACP’s support, LETR became the movement’s largest public awareness and fundraising vehicle for Special Olympics.
Affiliated Organizations
The Air Force Security Forces Association is a world-wide organization of Security Forces professionals with local chapters. Since its birth in 1986, it has been a significant factor in preserving and enhancing the honor and pride that are inherent in the Security Forces career field. Our membership spans generations, encompassing the military policemen (air provost marshals) of World War II and continuing over the years to the men and women who are serving their first hitch today.
The Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) was founded in Toronto on September 6, 1905. The Association is dedicated to the support and promotion of efficient law enforcement and to the protection and security of the people of Canada. Much of the work in pursuit of its new mandate, developed in 2013, “safety and security for all Canadians through innovative police leadership”, is done through the activities and special projects of a number of committees and through active liaison with various levels of government and departmental ministries having legislative and executive responsibility in law and policing.
The FBI National Academy Associates, Inc. (FBINAA) is a non-profit, international organization of 16,500 senior law enforcement professionals dedicated to providing our communities, states, countries, and profession with the highest degree of law enforcement expertise, training, education and information.
The Fraternal Order of Police is the world’s largest organization of sworn law enforcement officers, with more than 330,000 members in more than 2,200 lodges. We are the voice of those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities. We are committed to improving the working conditions of law enforcement officers and the safety of those we serve through education, legislation, information, community involvement, and employee representation. No one knows the dangers and the difficulties faced by today’s police officers better than another officer, and no one knows police officers better than the FOP.
The International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) is the largest professional association devoted to excellence in campus public safety and law enforcement. our members are police chiefs, public safety directors, law enforcement officers, and security personnel at higher education institutions across the globe.
IADLEST’s mission is to support the innovative development of professional standards in public safety through research, development, collaboration and sharing of information, to assist states and international partners with establishing effective and defensible standards for the employment and training of public safety personnel.
The MPRA is the Military Police Corps Regiment’s premier Military Police professional organization which is fully aligned with the Army and Military Police Corps Regiment’s visions and recognized as relevant by Military Police Leaders, Soldiers, and Families throughout the Regiment. Over the past several years we have maintained our relevance through several very successful programs.
The National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) was founded in 1907 to help attorneys general fulfill the responsibilities of their office and to assist in the delivery of high-quality legal services to the states and territorial jurisdictions. The Association’s members are the attorneys general of the 50 states and the District of Columbia and the chief legal officers of the Commonwealths of Puerto Rico (Secretary of Justice) and the Northern Mariana Islands, and the territories of American Samoa, Guam, and the Virgin Islands.
The National Assciation of Women Law Enforcement Executives was established in March of 1996 by six female police leaders. The goal was, and remains today, to promote the profession of law enforcement to women and support women who are in the field through training and mentoring.
Chartered in 1940, the National Sheriffs’ Association is a professional association dedicated to serving the Office of Sheriff and its affiliates through law enforcement education and training, and through the provision of general law enforcement informational resources. NSA represents thousands of sheriffs, deputies and other law enforcement, public safety professionals, and concerned citizens nationwide.
